Variable Data

Variable data printing is a form of digital printing, including on-demand printing, in which elements such as text, graphics and images may be changed from one printed piece to the next without stopping or slowing down the printing process. Information can be extracted from a database or external file such as a spreadsheet. For example, a set of personalised letters, each with the same basic layout, can be printed with a different name and address on each letter. Or bulk printing the company’s Christmas Cards with individual names ready to be mailed out using those personalised letters.

Variable data printing is mainly used for direct marketing, customer relationship management, advertising, invoicing and applying addressing on self-mailers, brochures or postcard campaigns.

On Demand Print Portal

With Optima Press Print On Demand (POD) Portals, we provide you with an asset management system that makes it easy to customise and order your printing online. Customisation allows you to uphold your organisation’s standards and tailor the order process to your preferences. You control who has access to your collateral. The portal also provides budget controls to manage expenses, as well as custom approval processes, reporting and analytics.

We set you up with a personalised POD portal to make reordering commonly used items a simple click away. These portals are quick and easy to setup, and we do all the work for you, so when it comes time to reorder those business cards, brochures or marketing leaflets, you can simply log in, choose what you need and get on with your busy day.

Please make sure you use the Pro version so that you can supply your artwork to us with bleed and trim marks. This feature is only available in the pro version, not in the free version.
